Yoga is the combination of mind, body, and spirit in an everlasting flow of energy. Singing also involves these three aspects: the mind for technique, the body for
sound, and the spirit for expression. Because of their similarities, yoga and singing can easily go hand-in-hand with great benefit to the singer. Some of these benefits include greater postural awareness, better physical alignment, and reduction of anxiety. This paper will explore in depth the wonderful correlations between and benefits from yoga and singing.
